All about Sardonyx:
Birthstone month: August
Best zodiac companions with: Leo & Virgo
Affirmation: “I am protected and safe as I walk the spiritual path of loyalty, courage, and unapologetic self-expression.”
Sardonyx meaning/uses:
Sardonyx is a rare and striking blend of Carnelian and Onyx, giving it its signature red, black, and white banded appearance. This powerful fusion merges the grounding, calming energy of Black Onyx with the bold, motivating fire of Carnelian- creating a crystal known for strength, courage, and inner stability.
When carried regularly, Sardonyx is said to amplify self-confidence and help build a stronger sense of identity. Long regarded as a protective stone, it’s believed to shield the wearer from negative intentions and harmful energies. Physically, it may support healthy blood circulation and promote skin clarity.
Steeped in ancient history, Sardonyx held deep spiritual significance in ancient Rome. Women would wear Sardonyx engraved with Venus, the goddess of love, to attract their soulmates. Meanwhile, men carried stones carved with Ares, the god of war, into battle-seeking divine favor and strength in the fight ahead.

NOTE: This jewelry item has undergone a patina oxidizing process. I tarnish the wire-wrapped jewelry using a liver of sulfur solution, then polish the wire with 0000 fine steel wool and a polishing cloth to create this beautiful antique look. Once the oxidizing process is complete, I apply a clear protective coat over the design to make the piece weather-resistant. This clear coat also seals in the patina, helping to prevent further tarnishing and protecting the wearer from irritation—especially if they are sensitive to copper. (Typically, bare copper or patinas without a sealant will continue to naturally oxidize. This method stops that process and preserves the look you see in the photo permanently.)
